If you are pregnant or have just had a little baby you should join the Baby Center community. I am now on my second pregnancy and I became a member during my first pregnancy and I like to visit the Baby Center website at least once per week to rad up on how my baby is growing and developing in the womb. They have great discussion boards and baby and toddler news. The Baby Center website has great information for every mother and mother to be including mothers themselves who chat all about what it is like to have a baby and be pregnant.

We just found out the day after Valentine’s Day through an ultrasound that we will be having another girl! This is very exciting news since we were hoping for a girl. We have a daughter now and she is just soo great and we think another girl would be a great addition to our family. Just 4 months to go and we will have our new daughter in our arms. YAY!

When i was pregnant with my first child, who is 1 and a half now, I was sick for the first 3 months of my pregnancy. It SUCKED! I have to say that I could not wait for it to end, and people said that at the 3 month mark it just one days stops, and it really did and I was soo happy for the rest of my pregnancy, minus the swollen feet and backaches. Now, I am pregnant again and the same thing again, I am sick as can be. I feel nauseous all day long, I am always hungry, but I don’t know what to eat and on top of it I have to play and watch my daughter who needs a lot of attention. It is more difficult the second time around, especially when I am sick all day. I am so jealous of all the mothers out there who do not get sick when they are pregnant, they are soo lucky.

My one year old daughter loves to read and play with peek a boo books. These are the books that have flaps on the pages that you open to see what is inside. My daughter just loves to open the flaps and see what is inside and she loves to point at the pictures and learn what each thing is. I have a good size collection of these Peek a boo books and I just bought two more yesterday at AC Moore really cheap at $3.00 each! These books are worth the money.

I have ordered and received my lead testers and I have tested two items in my house. I tested my daughters crib because she liked to bite the crib rail and I wanted to make sure that the paint was fine. I did test it with my new lead tester kit and the crib came up negative for lead paint, so I was very happy about that. I also have tested a cabinet that I got for free for lead paint and it too came up negative. So, I am happy so far with my results. With all of the lead paint stories in the news I am scared to buy anything for my daughter, but so far so good. If you have a little one, then you too should get yourself some lead testers and check items in your home, just in case.

I love Carter’s clothing for my daughter. She is only 1 and whenever I need to buy her clothing I go to my local outlet Carter’s store and buy the cutest outfits for her. I just went the other day and bought $200 worth of clothing, and they are going to last her though the fall ad most of the winter. Carter’s clothing is soft, comfortable, easy to clean, cute and they have great prices. You can even buy online right at the Carter’s website. I bought a good amount of clothes off of the $7 tables and there are great finds!

I just purchased two of these lovely items at Kmart today for my 1 year old daughter. My nephew had one and my daughter loved it, so I had to get her one. I searched and searched several stores before I found one and I finally found one at Kmart.

I bought two because I had such a hard time finding it, and I wanted to make sure that I had some in case I lost one. This item is great for little kids, toddlers and such. They can eat their own snacks and not get them all over the place. So far so good and they are so cheap that you can’t not buy one. I bought mine for $2.99 each and what a deal.

I have finally received my lead testers that I purchased at Amazon.com. They cost me about $10.00 with shipping and I can test up to 4 surfaces. I think that if you have small children you should definitely look into buying yourself some lead testers.

Especially with all of the toy recalls that have been going on lately. I plan on testing some of my daughters toys as well as some other items I have purchased and am curious about. I have used a lead tester before on a dresser that I got for free and I was not sure if the paint had lea in it. It came out positive for lead, so I had the dresser stripped of all paint and then I repainted it. Testing for lead is very important because ingestion of lead is very bad for your health, especially in large quantities.

My daughter is 1 and I know some people who have daughters that are even younger than 1 and have their ears pierced. I think that little earrings are really cute and make a girl really look like a girl. I know that my mom pierced my ears when I was little, I was older than 1 maybe even 2 or 3 but I just don’t know if it’s the right thing to do at such a young age.


What if your daughter doesn’t want her ears pierced…you can;t just ask a 1 year old that question. I have decided that even though it would be very cute, I am going to let my daughter decide if she wants her ears pierced when she is old enough to understand what she is doing.

I found some great products on the Safety First website under home safety. Safety First makes some great products for you to use in your home to help you keep you baby safe. I use the Safety First outlets covers, but, I still have items that I plug into the outlet, and my daughter wants to pull them out all the time.
